Our story

My name is Locke Hollis, and my very first steps—literally—were in the little dance studio attached to my nan’s house. Jane Hollis was a legend in the British dance world, and growing up in her studio, I was surrounded by music, movement, and endless inspiration. I explored many styles as a child, but it was disco freestyle, street dance, and contemporary that truly stole my heart, guiding me through years of competitions and performances both in England and internationally.

When my nan passed and COVID paused my dance journey, I moved to Florida, continuing to train and perform, always carrying her legacy with me. Today, as a young mother and wife, I am proud to open Locked In Dance Company in her honor—a business built not just on technique, but on community, growth, and family. While I lead the way as owner, our team will continue to expand with guest teachers, helping to grow a supportive dance family.

Our mission is to support military and local families, to share the beauty and energy of the British dance community, and to give every child the freedom, confidence, and joy that dance brings. At Locked In, we don’t just create dancers like ourselves—we nurture dancers to be even better: disciplined, well-rounded, and happiest when expressing themselves through movement. Here, every dancer belongs, and every dancer matters.

Our values

Passion – Dance is more than movement; it’s an expression of joy, creativity, and heart. We foster an environment where every dancer can discover their love for the art.

Community – We are a dance family. From military families to local children, everyone belongs here, supporting one another both inside and outside the studio.

Discipline – We teach the importance of focus, dedication, and consistent effort, helping dancers reach their full potential.

Commitment – Whether to practice, growth, or each other, we honor the value of showing up and giving your best every time.

Integrity – We lead with honesty, respect, and fairness, ensuring every dancer feels safe, supported, and valued.

Excellence – We encourage skill, creativity, and artistry, nurturing dancers who are confident, capable, and well-rounded.

Legacy – Inspired by Jane Hollis, we honor the past while building the next generation of dancers who carry her spirit of artistry and innovation.

Freedom – Every dancer deserves the freedom to express themselves fully, explore their creativity, and grow confidently at their own pace.

Joy – Above all, dance should be fun! We celebrate every movement, every achievement, and every dancer’s journey.
Inclusivity – Every dancer is welcome, regardless of background, experience, or ability. We celebrate diversity and ensure all students feel seen, valued, and empowered.
